REVISION: The first book I purchased was a "like new" book from a seller that specializes in publisher returns (which I did not know at the time). The book was a publisher return, however, because of the problems listed under the original post below. I am revising my review based on the new book I purchased, which is fantastic and contains all the pages, and I am excited to work through some of the patterns. There are four methods of short rows explained, with a variety of patterns available for practicing the different techniques. I like that most of the short row techniques have both simple, short-term projects (like cowls, gloves, or shawls), along with more involved patterns, such as sweaters. I have not begun any of the patterns, as I am just practicing the techniques for the short rows at this stage. I also recommend Carol Feller's "Short Row Knits" which provides information on the same four techniques, but with different diagrams and includes swatch instructions prior to beginning the patterns. Together, I think these two books enable a beginning/intermediate knitter to advance to the next level!ORIGINAL POST: The version of the book that I have was printed with the pages out of order and missing several large sections of pages. For example, the pages describing the German method of short rows are completely missing, and some of the patterns using the German method are included three times. Additionally, the yarn over chapter is also missing from the printer (they were not torn out). Since the table of contents was present, I could see that I was missing about 1/3 to 1/2 of the content, with the content that was present repeated in mixed up order. :( Is there a newer version that corrects these problems?
